Socio-Cultural Issues of Korea 3600-7-KO1-ZSKK(Z)
The lecture includes elements of the physical, economic and historical geography of Korean regions as well as the basics of Korean culture, its origins, foreign influences and interactions with other cultures of the region. It presents the regional diversity of the country, the characteristics of the lands and the people living there, the rites of passage, holiday customs, features of traditional housing, clothing, cuisine, medicine, chronology, symbolism. In addition, during the lecture, issues related to the problems of contemporary South Korean society are discussed.
