Korean Language Pronunciation 3600-7-KO1-WYMJK(Z)
The goal of this class is to master vowel and consonant phonemes, accent, intonation and similarities existing in contemporary Korean language. The course covers the phonemes and prosodic features of Korean, it aims to compare Korean and Polish phonemes especially those that pose a pronunciation problems to Polish learners and emphasizes the phenomena typical to Korean but not present in Polish.

Learning outcomes
Based on the revised 2026/27 study programme:
[K_W08] The student has an advanced knowledge and understanding of the structure of the Korean language, its history and script, and its significance in the context of the culture and history of the East Asian region. [K_U10] The student has advanced knowledge of the Korean writing system (using the rules of standard orthography) and tools for its study and analysis (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, databases, etc.).
[K_U17] The student is able to cooperate and work in a group, establish contacts with representatives of different cultures, and engage in intercultural dialogue.
