Museums in Multicultural World 3600-7-KM5-MwWŚ(Z)
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with some elements of museum studies, especially in a multicultural context. The theory of the museum, as well as its various concepts, that changed with the passing of time will be discussed. Students will be acquainted with types of museums, e.g. art museums or digital museums. Different aspects of the museum work will be presented - e.g. preparing exhibitions, conservation, marketing, education and digitalisation.
The classes concentrate on multicultural and intercultural aspects of the museums, both from the European, and Asian-African perspectives.

can compare and thoroughly analyse interrelations between selected cultural texts (film, press, literature, social writing, other works of culture) of selected regions, and the issues of tradition and modernity K_U09
can carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of different products of culture of a selected region appropriate to a selected tradition, theory and research schools within the scope of studies on intercultural communication employing unique attitude of Oriental studies K_U10
