Master's seminar 3600-7-JA5-SM2(Z)
The seminar prepares the participants to work on their A.M. thesis and examination. The diploma paper is prepared under the tuition of the tutor. The participants are expected to take an active part in the seminar, both through an active discussion and preparing papers on selected topics. During seminar the participants discuss various problems of Japanese history, literature, philosophy or religion, arts or aesthetics, or language.
Term 2023Z:
During the seminar, students will learn the basic issues of writing a thesis. Topics from the field of modern and contemporary Japanese literature (from the second half of the 19th century to modern times) as well as Japanese aesthetics and art are discussed. Students make a research and collect materials in Japanese, English and other languages on the topics they choose; they prepare papers in the form of multimedia presentations and a seminar thesis that meets the requirements of the scientific text. |

- assessment of oral presentations and seminar paper
- attendance control (have an attendance record of no more than 2 unexcused absences)
