Master's seminar 3600-7-JA5-SM2(L)
The seminar is devoted to the analysis and elaboration of the chosen literary and art themes on the ground of materials in Japanese and other languages.
During the seminar, students will learn the basic issues of writing a thesis. Topics from the field of modern and contemporary Japanese literature (from the second half of the 19th century to modern times) as well as Japanese aesthetics and art are discussed. Students make a research and collect materials in Japanese, English and other languages on the topics they choose; they prepare papers in the form of multimedia presentations and a seminar thesis that meets the requirements of the scientific text.

Assessment criteria
- assessment of oral presentations and seminar paper
- attendance control (have an attendance record of no more than 2 unexcused absences)
- student's preparation for class
