Master's seminar 3600-7-JA4-SM1(Z)
The aim of the course is to prepare students to write a thesis on a topic of their choice. The main emphasis will be on topics related to the methodology of scientific research and basic research workshop (the technique of writing thesis, selection of subject literature). The thematic scope of the seminar focuses on selected issues in the field of literature and culture as well as the religion and philosophy of Japan.
Research activities will include reading factual sources and various cultural texts related to the topic. All participants will be required to present their research results during the course.

Assessment criteria
The papers will be judged in terms of a student’s ability to form a thesis, construct an argument and give proper textual support, and reach reasonable conclusions.
