Japanese language and culture - business culture, economic issues1 3600-7-JA4-JKJKB(Z)
Interactive group activities aim to enhance students' overall language proficiency and practice using these skills in a Japanese-speaking environment, with respect for cultural diversity. Particular emphasis is placed on learning and practically applying knowledge of business culture, including understanding proper manners and behaviors, appropriate language usage, and more. Additionally, the activities focus on Polish-Japanese economic relations and the ability to describe them in Japanese. Representatives of Japanese businesses in Poland may also be invited to participate in the classes or students may visit and interview them as fieldwork.
Knowledge of business culture/proper manners and behaviors:
- students will have a group discussion about problems in a business situation which was caused by cultural misunderstandings. Through the discussion, they learn business culture and differences between Japan and Poland.
- Students will learn basic business manners from textbooks and audio materials.
Appropriate language usage in the business situations:
- Through textbooks, students learn appropriate vocabulary, expressions and how to build a proper conversation in the business situation.
The activities focus on Polish-Japanese economic relations and the ability to describe them in Japanese:
-Students will do a presentation in a class about polish-Japanese economic relations.
