Japanese Language and Culture 5 Text Composition (Z) 3600-7-JA3-JKJKT5
The main aim of the classes will be developing of comprehension and practical use of language constructions. These abilities will be practiced while presenting homework and its correction. Also exercises during classes will be added.
In the text composition class, students will learn to recognize the styles of kakikotoba (written language) and hanashikotoba (spoken language), and improve their writing skills in Japanese.
In Japanese text composition classes one topic will be tackled in three lessons:
1. Learning the diverse styles and use of Japanese through various materials (newspaper articles, exercises from workbooks etc.)
2. Discussion in small groups
3. Writing essays at home
4. Checking submitted essays so as to find and correct errors.
Students are required to submit essays on time.

K_U21, has the ability to present detailed issues in the field of Japanese culture in Polish and in a foreign language, taking into account the intellectual tradition of Japan
K_U22 has a skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and in Japanese
K_U24, can use electronic and internet tools in Polish and in Japanese

Assessment criteria
The evaluation will be based on the following requirements:
- sufficient attendance ( up to two absences without a sick note)
in case of sick notes - at least 50 per cent of attendance is required
- preparation for the class and assertive participation in the class
- submission of essays
- written exam in the end of the semester
