Knowledge about Persian Language 3600-7-IR2-WJP1
The lecture is dedicated to the mastery of the grammar rules of the Persian language and is aimed at familiarizing students with the use of different tenses and modes, Persian syntax and rules of word-formation.
The lecture includes grammar exercises, which help to consolidate the material, explain the structures and the problems specific for the Persian language. After the lecture, students have knowledge of Persian syntax to the extent that allows them to learn the language while consciously analyzing statements from the grammar point of view. They are also able to move smoothly within the rules of Persian word-formation.

After the lecture student:
Knowledge
- has detailed knowledge of theory and history of Persian language necessary for understanding of selected aspects of culture
- has extensive knowledge of Persian language (its/their structure, history, script)
- is aware of the complex nature of Persian language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of in Iran and Afghanistan
- is aware of the linguistic variety of Iran and Afghanistan and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world
Skills:
- has a good command of Persian language at the intermediate level
Social competence:
-understands the need to learn all one's life
- can set appropriate goals and ways to achieve them in the context of academic, professional and social activity
- acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of Iran and Afghanistan
Assessment criteria
- attendance control
- oral or written evaluation
Attendance at lectures is obligatory.
Admission to the mid-term evaluation on the basis of attendance.
Two unexcused absences allowed per semester (4 lecture hrs out of 30, 1 lecture hr=45 min.)
