An academic practical Persian course on lower intermediate level. The course is focused on extension and enhancing vocabulary and current pronunciation control. Extensive use of drills and other exercises is still recommended. Speaking automatically and expressing oneself in writing with a grade appropriate span of text complexity with a special stress on phraseology (i.e. idioms) and further developing various communication skills including listening and comprehension, speaking, reading and writing with regard to general topics and vocabulary would be the main teaching goal. Simple texts belonging to the Iranian contemporary fiction and non-fiction including the specific idiom of media and newspapers. Also giving a little more complex descriptions both static (things, people, environment) and dynamic (actions, states and situations) are still essential. Introduction of basic colloquial and politeness forms. Some handwriting and calligraphy hints in more extent range in order to enable students to write Persian quickly in a proper way and to read quick handwriting and artistic calligraphy should be included in the agenda.
