Knowledge of Persian Language 3600-7-IR1-WJP1
The lecture begins with a presentation of the history of the Persian language within the process of developement of Iranian languages (historical grammar). The next topic is script and phonetic system. Within the framework of morphology parts of speech are presented and analysed and rules of their use in the sentence are discussed. During lecture main tenses and modes used in contemporary Persian language are analyzed.

- has basic knowledge in the range of theory of humanities (literary, linguistic or historical studies) necessary for the understanding of selected aspects of chosen culture
- has extensive knowledge of Persian language (its structure, history, script)
- is aware of the complex nature of a Persian language language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of the region of Iran and Afganistan
- is aware of the linguistic variety of Iran and Afghanistan and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world [K_W14];
Skills:
- has a good command of Persian language at the elementary level
- fluently use the Persian script and the necessary tools to learn and analyse it (traditional and electronic dictionaries)
Social competences:
- understands the need to learn all one's life
- acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of a Iran and Afghanistan
Assessment criteria
- attendance control
- oral evaluation
Attendance at lectures is obligatory.
Admission to the mid-term evaluation on the basis of attendance.
Two unexcused absences allowed per semester (4 lecture hrs out of 30, 1 lecture hr=45 min.)
