The seminar is designed to acquaint students with the knowledge of theories, methods and research tools of modern translation studies, taking into account the linguistic and cultural peculiarities of South Asia by means of reading, analyzing and translating various types of texts, with varying degrees of difficulty, with the application of an appropriately chosen translation strategy.

Prerequisites (description)
The student should have knowledge of Indian language I (Bengali/Hindi/Sanskrit/Tamil) and knowledge of its literature as well as socio-cultural issues of India to the extent specified in the curriculum of the Oriental studies-Indian studies course, for those who have completed the first year of full-time study of the second cycle.
