BA Seminar - Sanskrit(Z) 3600-7-IN3-SLS(Z)

The seminar is aimed at broadening and deepening students’ knowledge pertaining to essential aspects of literary and socio-cultural phenomena in South Asia, acquired by students during previous years of studies, as well as developing skills at analysing and synthesising them. This purpose is realised, firstly, in the form of presentations of the student’s own work on a chosen subject of BA dissertation (the subject has to be approved by the teacher; it can also be suggested by the teacher) to all participants of the seminar, and, secondly, during common reading and analysis of works selected by the teacher.

Assessment criteria

– attendance control;
– presentation of students’ own topics (a student can choose BA thesis topic accepted by the tutor, or the topic is proposed by the tutor, ultimately approved by the Didactic Council of the FOS UW);
– continuous assessment;
– semester paper on a selected topic (a student can choose BA thesis topic accepted by the tutor, or the topic is proposed by the tutor).
