Competencies for the Future 3600-7-IN1-KP
The aim of the course is to introduce participants to the fundamental theories and concepts of intercultural communication and to highlight their importance in the contemporary world. Emphasis will be placed on the practical application of the acquired knowledge.
The objectives of the course are to familiarise participants with basic knowledge of:
theories of culture;
theories of intercultural communication;
orientalism and postcolonial studies;
practical possibilities of applying these concepts, e.g., in intercultural marketing;
functioning effectively within a multicultural team.

Learning outcomes
The student knows and understands:
the basic principles of creating and developing various forms of entrepreneurship.
The student is prepared to:
engage in lifelong learning;
cooperate and work in a group, build relationships with representatives of different cultures, and engage in intercultural dialogue.
The student develops:
a sense of responsibility for the group;
critical thinking skills;
creative problem-solving skills.
Assessment criteria
Attendance control (minimum 80% attendance) and active participation in classes; after completing selected tasks, a brief formative assessment will be provided.
