First Language and Culture of India - Sanskrit(Z) 3600-7-IN1-IJKIS(Z)
Practical learning of Sanskrit as the first language - rudiments of the language. The classes comprise the learning of script, basics of grammar, simple grammatical structures, construction of simple sentences in Sanskrit, translation of simple sentences from Polish to Sanskrit and from Sanskrit to Polish. The learning of the language also introduces students to the basics of classical South Asian culture.

Assessment criteria
Teaching methods:
Classes in grammar, textual analysis, Polish-to-Sanskrit and Sanskrit-to-Polish translations.
Assessment methods and criteria:
- attendance control,
- continuous preparation for the class and active participation during classes,
- regular checkups / tests,
- term assessment.
