The alumnus:
-has extended knowledge of particular problems pertaining to the cultures of the Orient or Africa (within the scope of culture and literature or language or culture and religion issues) in a comparative perspective [K_W02]
- has extended knowledge of particular problems pertaining to the culture of the Jews and Israel (within the scope of culture and literature or language and religion or history and socio-political issues) [ K_W03]
- has extended and deepened knowledge of Hebrew [ K_W04]
- has detailed knowledge pertaining to the state of research on chosen issues related toJews and Israel as well as in-depth knowledge of research centres in Poland and all over the world [K_W05]
- knows and understands methods of advanced analysis and interpretation of various products of culture of teh Jews and of Israel, which are relevant for selected traditions, theories and research schools within the scope of studies on literature, language, culture and religion and history [ K_W06]
- knows and understands the local academic tradition (methods of analysis, interpretation and evaluation) in the context of Israel [ K_W07]
- demonstrates good knowledge of contemporary cultural life in Israel [ K_W08]
- has wide and profound knowledge of the structures and social relations as well as socio-cultural behavior in Israel, which enables professional verbal communication in social and intercultural contexts [ K_W10]
- knows and understands the rules of copyright and intellectual property management [ K_W11]
The alumnus is able to:
- search for, analyze, evaluate and use information from different sources and can form critical judgement on its basis [ K_U01]
- indicate sources of cultural differences between different regions of the Orient or Africa, also on the basis of source materials [ K_U02]
-acquire knowledge independently and enhance research skills as well as develop abilities to build a professional career[ K_U03]
-use the knowledge in the field of Oriental studies to expand knowledge of humanities [K_U04]
- read, analyze and interpret advanced literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Israel and appropriately place them in their cultural context [ K_U08]
- compare and thoroughly analyze interrelations between selected literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) ofIsrael, and the issues of tradition and modernity [ K_U09]
- carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of different products of culture of Israel and the Jews appropriate to a selected tradition, theory and research schools within the scope of studies on literature, language, culture and religion employing unique attitude of Oriental studies [K_U10]
- analyze most important phenomena in the field of history, as well as socio-political, linguistic or cultural context of Israel [ K_U11]
- evaluate, select and describe most important products of contemporary culture of teh Jews and of Israel [K_U12]
-demonstrate a good command of a foreign language at least at the B2+ level [ K_U14]
- demonstrate a good command Hebrew at the C2 level [ K_U15]
- choose and formulate a subject of an MA thesis, select and find sources in Hebrew, refer to certain theories and other sources [ K_U17]
- acquires ability to describe in Polish and Hebrew diverse aspects ofIsraeli and Jewish culture, taking into consideration the intellectual traditions of Israel [ K_U18]
- acquires ability to formulate own opinions and conclusions in both writing and spoken in Polish and Hebrew [ K_U19]
- acquires ability to argument on substantive basis using other authors’ views [ K_U20]
- proficiently use advanced electronic and internet tools in Polish and in Hebrew [ K_U21]
The alumnus is ready to:
- understand the need to learn all one’s life, can inspire and organize other people’s process of learning [ K_K01]
- actively cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations [ K_K02]
- set appropriate goals and ways to achieve them in the context of academic, professional and social activity [ K_K04]
-be open to new ideas and trends as well as cultural diversity [ K_K05]
- understands responsibility and ethical issues that come with imparting knowledge of Israel [ K_K07]
- see the need to enrich one’s own tradition by adding positive philosophical, social and cultural values of Israel, treats cultural synergy as an added value [K_K09]
- actively acts in aid of mutual understanding and effective intercultural communication, cultural and economic cooperation, domestic contacts and ones in Israel [ K_K10]
- actively acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural heritage and most important products of contemporary culture in Israel [ K_K11]
