Hebrew language and culture 3600-7-HE4-JKH(L)
During the course, students should master their knowledge of Hebrew language at lower proficiency level (C2.1.) The main objective is that they develop four different language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking at lower proficiency level. They improve their ability to express themselves freely (orally and in writing) in various language registers. The emphasis is put on listening comprehension of authentic recordings: dialogues, stories, academic lectures, radio news, and interviews and compound written text in various language registers. During the course, students significantly enrich their vocabulary and broaden grammar knowledge. All that prepares them to understand original press articles, excerpts from literature (both modern and classical) and academic papers. Of the grammatical issues, great attention will be paid to selected verb conjugations and selected syntactic issues.
