The course’s aim is to acquaint students with the most important Israeli authors and the most characteristic motives of Israeli literature.
The course is designed to present and analyze selected processes and phenomena described in Modern Israeli literature, created in
Hebrew. This course is an important introduction to the further study of Hebrew and Israeli literature and acquaints the students with the
most important problems and social conflicts of the State of Israel like: the memory of the Holocaust, attitude towards religion, the army,
social divisions, ethnic minorities, emigration. During the classes selected works of the authors-representatives of various social groups.
