Arabic Language and Culture 3600-7-AR3-JKA(Z)
The course aims to deepen the knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic by developing the ability to use an advanced vocabulary, phraseology, and grammar in both spoken and written forms and through the analysis of selected media and literary texts, as well as audio and video recordings. This knowledge will enable students to use Modern Standard Arabic actively and passively in communication with native speakers, during travel or sojourns in Arab countries, as well as in professional settings.

Knowledge - a student knows and understands:
the place and importance of Oriental studies in the humanities and their specificity in relation to the subject and methodology K_W01

Assessment criteria
Continuous assessment, written tests, final written assessments, final oral assessments.
Attendance control; in the case of absence due to illness, the medical certificate excusing this absence should be submitted within seven work days of the last day of the leave specified in the certificate.
The final grade for the course is the average of the grades given by each instructor (based on written and/or oral assessments), calculated proportionally to the number of hours taught by each instructor during the semester. To pass the course, students must receive a passing grade (at least 60% of the points) from each instructor.
The total number of justified and ujustified absences allowing for taking an examination is 30%.
