Arabic Language and Culture 3600-7-AR2-JKA(Z)
The course aims to deepen the knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic by developing the ability to use an intermediate vocabulary, phraseology, and grammar in both spoken and written forms and through the analysis of selected media and literary texts, as well as audio and video recordings. This knowledge will enable students to use Modern Standard Arabic actively and passively in communication with native speakers, during travel or sojourns in Arab countries, as well as in professional settings.

Attendance control. Up to 15% of unexcused absences per semester is permitted during the classes of each instructor.
in the case of absence due to illness, the medical certificate excusing this absence should be submitted within seven work days of the last day of the leave specified in the certificate.
The total number of justified and unjustified absences during each lecturer's classes, allowing for taking an examination, is 30%.
The final grade for a course is the average of the grades given by individual instructors (based on written and/or oral assessments) calculated proportionally to the number of hours taught in a given semester. To pass a course, you must receive positive grades (min. 60% of points) from each instructor.
During tests or assessments, the following actions are strictly prohibited: using notes, phones, smartwatches, headphones, or any other devices that allow access to information; consulting with others; looking at other students' papers; or tampering with exam materials.
If the use of unauthorised aids is detected, the test or assessment is immediately terminated, and a failing grade is assigned.
The lecturer reserves the right to conduct an additional oral verification in the event of justified doubts regarding the authenticity and independence of the submitted work.
