Reading African texts 3600-7-AF3-LTA
The course is devoted to the reading and analysing of chosen Hausa texts, as well as to their translation into Polish. The course aims at developing the students' language skills as well as to deepen their knowledge of Hausa culture and literature.

Learning outcomes
Having completed the course student:
- has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Hausa language into Polish (K_W15)
- can analyze and interpret source texts in Hausa language (K_U13)
- can translate literary texts and writings from Hausa language into Polish (K_U14)
- understands the need to learn all one’s life, can inspire and organize other people’s process of learning (K_K01)
- can actively cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations (K_K02)
Assessment criteria
- attendance control - a student can be absent maximum twice during the semester. In the case of absence due to illness, the medical certificate excusing this absence should be submitted within seven days of the last day of the leave specified in the certificate.
