(in Polish) Gramatyka języka afrykańskiego2 3600-7-AF1-GJA2
The most important goal of the course is to help better understanding the complex nature of the Amharic language from the grammatical point of view, i.e. explaining the introduced grammatical structures in order to better understand them, as well as exercising in form of language drills to memorize them. Grammar topics include the alphasyllabic script, which is used only in Ethiopia, articulation rules, with particular emphasis on plosives, personal pronouns, forming sentences using the copula (hyphen), and the introduction of basic verb forms. In the Amharic language, belonging to the Semitic family, the verb root plays a very important role, which has a lexical value and is the basis for the formation of derivative forms. Next to the root there are affixes that take the form of prefixes, infixes or suffixes and have grammatical value. From the very beginning, this fundamental feature of the Amharic language will be emphasized to facilitate subsequent learning.
