Korean Language 3600-5-KO1-JKO1.2
Becoming an active user of Korean language at level A2.
Course contains such elements as reading and writing Korean alphabet /hangeul/ and vocabulary and grammatical structures which enable the students to communicate at the basic level.
Exercises are conducted with the aid of audiovisual materials and conversations.

Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE:
- has basic knowledge of Korean language (its structure, history, script) [K_W12];
- is aware of the complex nature of Korean language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of Korean Peninsula and Asia [K_W13];
- is aware of the linguistic variety and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world [K_W-14];
- has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Korean into Polish [K-W_15].
SKILLS:
- can read, analyze and interpret simple literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Korea and appropriately place them in their cultural context [K-U_6];
- can use the knowledge of socio-cultural issues of Korea in typical professional situations [K-U_9];
- has a good command of Korean at the level A2[K_U12];
- can analyze and interpret source texts in Korean language [K-U_13];
- potrafi interpretować kluczowe pojęcia kultury Korei poprzez analizę językową/ filologiczną [K_U15];
- can fluently use the script of Korean language and the necessary tools to learn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) [K_U_16];
- can properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of Korea[K_U_17];
- has a skill in presenting certain simple aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Korea in Korean language taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of the region [K_U_21];
- has a skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and in Korean language [K_U_22];
- can use electronic and internet tools both in Polish and in Korean language [K_U_24].
SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
- understands the need to learn all one’s life [K_K01];
- can cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations [K_K02];
- can establish relations and cooperate with representatives of other cultures [K-K03];
- has awareness of the cultural distinctness and its religious, philosophical, traditional and historical roots and its significance for understanding modern world [K_K05];
- sees the need of dialogue between cultures [K_K06];
- is aware of significance the culture of Korea has for the culture of the world [K_K07];
- acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of Korea [K_K08].
