Continuation of the Ist year program. Information about idiomatical expressions. Structure of complex sentences and connecting of subordinate clauses. Explanation of several idiomatic expressions using parts of human body. Onomatopoeic and mimetic words. Complex sentence structure – the way of connecting causative clauses etc. Expressions of selection (soretomo, aruiwa).
Ways of explanation (meaning of words or ideas). Adverbial constructions.
Aim of the lab classes is to develop listening and pronunciation abilities of the students, their knowledge of Japanese vocabulary and grammar, and also conversation skills due to the exercises based on audio teaching materials.

KNOWLEDGE:
- has extensive knowledge of Japanese language (its structure, history, script) [K_W12]

- has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Japanese language into Polish [K_W15]
SKILLS:
- can read, analyze and interpret literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Japan and appropriately place them in their cultural context [K_U06]
- can use the knowledge of socio-cultural issues of Japan in typical professional situations [K_U09]
- has a command of Japanese language at the B2 level [K_U12]
- can analyze and interpret source texts in Japanese language [K_U13]
- can translate literary texts and writings from Japanese language into Polish [K_U14]
- can interpret key terms from culture of Japan through linguistic/philological analysis [K_U15]
- can fluently use the script of Japanese language and the necessary tools to learn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) [K_U16]
- can properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of Japan [K_U17]
- has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Japan in Polish and in Japanese languages taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of Japan [K_U21]
- has a skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and in Japanese [K_U22]
- can use electronic and internet tools both in Polish and in Japanese [K_U24]

Assessment criteria
The evaluation will use the following criteria:
- attendance
- continuous assessment (current preparation for classes and activity)
- possible mid-term written check tests
- possibility of passing the final pass / written exam
- final oral / oral exam
credit for a grade / exam after the second semester
