Swahili Readings 3600-5-AF3-LTJS2
The course aims at advancing the students' competence of the Swahili language and making them acquainted with ethnographic writing. The course work consists of reading, translating and discussing real texts (both in Arabic and Latin script,) from the area of Kenya and Tanzania. During the second semester, their topics will be related particularly to the students' B.A. theses.

has a basic knowledge of Swahili writings in Arabic script (ajami). K_W05

has rudimentary knowledge on translation rules from Swahili language into Polish. K_W15

can read, understand and analyze real texts in Swahili language, written both in Arabic script (ajami) (printed version) and in Latin alphabet. K_U06
can translate real texts from Swahili language into Polish. K_U14
can make transliteration of Swahili text written in Arabic script (ajami) into Latin alphabet. K_U16.
