Arabic calligraphy 3600-4-ARW1-KA1
During this course students will be taught the history and origin of Arabic script and the orthography of this language. They will learn how to write in Arabic correctly. Subsequently, various styles of Arabic script will be described and characterised in detail.

Knowledge. Students:
-are familiar with Arabic script and the rules of connecting letters,
-knows the history of Arabic script and the way it developed,
-is familiar with various styles of Arabic script and calligraphy
Skills. Students:
-are able to identify and read single letters, words and sentences written in Arabic,
-can write in Arabic without making grammar mistakes
Competences. Students:
-understand the importance of lifelong foreign languages learning,
-understand the importance of Arabic calligraphy,
-understands how important for proper reading and writing in Arabic the familiarity with Arabic orthography is.
