An academic practical Pashto course on intermediate level. The course is focused on extension and enhancing vocabulary and complex syntactic structures. Speaking automatically and expressing oneself in writing with a grade appropriate span of text complexity with a special stress on phraseology (i.e. idioms and proverbs) and further developing various communication skills including listening and comprehension, speaking, reading and writing with regard to general and special topics and vocabulary including various aspects of social life and some other topics of human sciences especially those specific to Afghanistan would be the main teaching goal. Simple texts belonging to the Pashto contemporary fiction and non-fiction, as well as texts featuring the professional press and media idiom. Also giving simple descriptions both static (things, people, environment) and dynamic (actions, states and situations) by students are still essential. Further learning of colloquial Pashto including more complex addressing forms and expressions is to be continued.
