K_W05 -has detailed and organized knowledge of literature and writings of China; can name and characterize most important phenomena/trends/literary texts/writings of China Taiwan and Chinese cultural circle.

K_W06 - has detailed and organized knowledge of history of China

K_W07 - has detailed and organized knowledge of philosophy and religion of China

K_W09 - has detailed and organized knowledge of socio-cultural issues in China Taiwan and Chinese cultural circle within the scope of natural environment and ethnic, demographic and political situation;

K_W11 - has organized knowledge of natural, geopolitical and economic environment and their importance for the historical and contemporary situation of China, Taiwan and Chinese cultural circle.

K_W12 - has extensive knowledge of the Chinese language (its/their structure, history, script)

K_W13 - is aware of the complex nature of Chinese, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of China, Taiwan and Chinese cultural circle;

K_W14 - is aware of the linguistic variety and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world;

K_W15 - has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Chinese into Polish

K_W16 -demonstrates basic grasp of contemporary cultural life of China, Taiwan and Chinese cultural circle;

K_W18 - knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of chosen theories and schools of research within the scope of cultural and literary studies, linguistics, philosophy and religion studies and history;

K_U16 - fluently use the Chinese script and the necessary tools to learn and analyse it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.);

K_U17 - properly function in the linguistic and cultural environment of China

K_U22 - has a skill at formulating own opinions and conclusions in writing and in speech both in Polish and Chinese;

K_U25 - communicate with specialists in the fields of academic research and in academic disciplines pertinent to the Oriental Studies – Sinology using contemporary IT technology;

K_K04 -set appropriate goals and ways to achieve them in the context of academic, professional and social activity

K_K07 - s aware of significance the culture of Arab countries have for the culture of the world

K_K08 - acts in aid of sharing and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage of China;

Credit for a grade at the end of the semester consisting of translation a new text on a subject previously discussed during the class.

The final grade will be influenced also by mid-term tests and student's activity during the classes and preparation for the classes.

The classes are obligatory . The student can be absent without excuse two times during each semester. If excused absences exceed 30% the student will not receive a credit.

The selection of the materials and texts depends on interests of the students and if it is possible convergent with subjects of their diploma dissertations. After consultations texts will be sent by e-mail.
