Reading in Chinese texts 3600-19-SIW3-LTCh5
Students prepare an oral translation of the texts indicated in the textbook, and during the classroom training the texts are once again translated and analysed, new grammatical constructions and the use of the specific vocabulary are explained. Students are required to hand in written translations of all texts.
The texts in the textbook are provided with explanations of some phrases and idioms, and also with English translations of the new words used.

- can analyze and interpret Chinese source texts, advanced level (K_U13, H1A_U09, H1A_U10);

Social competence

Assessment criteria
Attendance obligatory. Maximum of two unexplained absences allowed. Classroom active participation, and preparation of texts required. Fall and summer semestral reports based on two midsemestral written tests (written translation into Polish of the selected known texts); obligatory one year course final written exam (translation into Polish of the selected new text).
