Students learn to read and understand texts written in the classical language (wenyan); learn the basics of grammar and style, receive information on the context of the texts, learn how to analyze them from grammatical point of view.

Assessment criteria
obligatory attendance; mandatory active participation in classes and preparation in advance; after the winter semester - written test covering the material prepared in the winter semester; after the summer semester a written test covering the material of the summer semester and an / translation of a new text
