Learning outcomes
K_W01: the place and importance of Oriental studies in the humanities and their specificity in relation to the subject and methodology
K_W16: demonstrates basic grasp of contemporary cultural life of Korea
K_W17: knows the state of research in chosen aspects pertaining to Korea
K_W18: knows and understands basic analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture characteristic of chosen theories and schools of research within the scope of cultural and literary studies, linguistics, philosophy and religion studies and history

K_U01: search for, analyze, evaluate and use information from different sources

K_U20: choose and formulate a subject of a BA thesis, select and find sources in Korean, make references to basic theoretical approaches
KU_21: has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Korea in Polish and in Arabic taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of Korea
K_U23: has the ability of substantive argumentation with the use of other authors’ views
K_U25: communicate with specialists in the fields of academic research and in academic disciplines pertinent to the Oriental Studies – Korean Studies using contemporary IT technology

Assessment criteria
Current preparation for classes, active participation in discussions, attendance control (three absences allowed per semester), final thesis after the first semester (fragment of BA thesis), submission of the thesis at the end of the second semester.
