After completing the course student:
KNOWLEDGE:
• has organized knowledge of literature and writings of Korea [K_W05];
• has organized knowledge of history of Korea [K_W06];
• has organized knowledge of philosophy and religion of Korea [K_W07];
• has extensive knowledge of Korean language (its structure, history, script) [K_W12];
• is aware of the complex nature of Korean language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of Korean Peninsula [K_W13];
• has rudimentary knowledge of translation rules from Korean into Polish [K_W15];
• demonstrates basic grasp of contemporary cultural life of Korea [ K_W16].
SKILLS:
• can read, analyze and interpret literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Korea and appropriately place them in their cultural context [K_U06];
• can compare and perceive interrelations between chosen literary texts and other works of culture (film, press, social writing) of Korea and the issues within the scope of tradition and modern times [K_U07];
• has a good command of Korean at the level B2[K_U12];
• can analyze and interpret source texts in Korean language of a chosen specialty[K_U13];
• can translate literary texts and writings from Korean language into Polish [K_U14];
• can interpret key terms from Korean culture through linguistic/philological analysis [K_U15];
• can fluently use the script of Korean language and the necessary tools to earn and analyze it (traditional and electronic dictionaries, lexicons, linguistic corpora, data bases, etc.) [K_U16];
• can use electronic and internet tools both in Polish and in Korean language [K_U24].
SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
• can cooperate and work in a group as well as forge relationships and build social relations [K_K02];
can establish relations and cooperate with representatives of other cultures [K_K03].
