Oral and written translation of the text from The Japanese Proficiency Examination Manual from Japanese to Polish (level N2) - fragments of Japanese literary works and articles from newspapers.
The aim of the course is to introduce students to translation techniques of Japanese literature and newspaper articles. The course analyzes various styles of writing, problems of translation equivalence, examples of texts that are difficult to translate due to cultural differences. Working on the translation of these texts offers an opportunity to discuss various aspects of Japanese culture.

Assessment criteria
Required presence, a student can be absent only twice without any certificate.
During the written test, a student must translate a fragment of the Japanese text N2 and the questions in writing, and mark the correct answers (a dictionary is allowed).
