Japanese Language and Culture 5 3600-19-JAW3-JKJ5
In winter semester classes will be mainly focused on grammar of contemporary, standard Japanese language, N2 level of JLPT (B2).
Depending on situation the lecturer can change the scope of texts and exercises. Classes will be conducted in Japanese language.
The main aim of the classes will be developing of comprehension and practical use of language constructions. These abilities will be practiced while presenting homework and its correction. Also exercises during classes will be added.
In summer semester classes will be mainly focused on texts reading (reading comprehension, reading of novels, newspaper articles, etc.) selected by lecturer.
Students will practice conversations in Japanese language about texts read beforehand. It is possible that depending on situation apart from the above mentioned exercises, students can be asked to perform different language exercises, e.g. presentations in Japanese language.

Assessment criteria
The evaluation will be based on the following requirements:
- attendance in classes ( up to two absences without a sick note)
in case of sick notes - at least 50 per cent of attendance is required
- constant evaluation (preparing for classes and activity)
- Possibility of conducting of short tests and preparation of presentations in the semester (results will be registered as activity during classes)
- Possibility of checking of reading aloud texts given to students
- written examination (an exam before end-of-term examination is possible)
- oral examination (an exam before end-of-term examination is possible)

Exercises and tasks from JLPT N2 level (B2) (selection, preparation of exercises by lecturer).
Other materials will be prepared by lecturer.
