Japanese grammar 3600-19-JAW1-WJJ1
The contents of the course are adjusted to the basic textbook selected for Practical Japanese classes, namely Shokyū Nihongo.
The course is aimed at introducing basic knowledge on the system of modern Japanese including phonological, morphological and syntactical aspects of its structure. The lecture is concentrated on presenting such topics as classification of Japanese parts of speech, main grammatical categories such as tense, negation, mood, voice (passive and causative), particles and their functions as well as honorifics and politeness.

After completing the course, the student:
KNOWLEDGE:
- has basic knowledge in the range of theory of humanities (literary studies or linguistics or history) necessary to understand chosen cultural aspects [K-W04]
- has extensive knowledge of Japanese language (its structure, history, script) [K-W12]
- is aware of the complex nature of Japanese language, its place and significance in the cultural and historical context of Japan [K-W13]
- is aware of the linguistic variety and its influence on the cultural and political situation of the world [K-W14]
SKILLS:
- can use the knowledge of socio-cultural issues of Japan in typical professional situations [K-U09]
- has a skill in presenting detailed aspects within the scope of cultural issues of Japan in Polish and in Japanese languages taking into consideration the intellectual tradition of Japan [K-U21]

- can set appropriate goals and ways to achieve them in the context of academic, professional and social activity [K-K04]
- sees the need of dialogue between cultures [K-K06]
- is aware of significance the culture of Japan has for the culture of the world [K-K07]
