Grammar of Japanese language 1 3600-19-JAW1-GJ1
The exercises deal with the basic issues of modern standard Japanese (known as hyōjungo) in phonetics,
syntax, inflection, vocabulary, etc. The constructions learned, etc., are introduced according to the material discussed in the lecture:
Knowledge of the Japanese Language and language block classes (specialty subjects).
Emphasis is placed on practical mastery of the ability to create conjugation forms of verbs and adjectives, the automaticity of
use of them and the correctness of applying them in appropriate constructions; functional use of relevant parts of speech, with particular attention to those of great importance for grammar (partials, etc.); the ability to constructing correct simple and complex sentences, as well as correct translations.

Assessment criteria
The following criteria will be used in the evaluation:
- Class attendance (up to two self-authorised absences per semester, at least 50 percent attendance in the semester for students granted IOS),
- in case of absence – a doctor's note is necessary,
- being prepared and active during classes, mastery of current material,
- written test for the end of the winter semester, written exam during the exam session for the annual assesment.
Medical certificates (sick leave notes) must be submitted in person immediately after returning to classes.
A medical certificate does not exempt the student from being aquainted with the material covered during classes.
Students who have been granted permission for an Individual Study Organization (IOS) are required to contact the course instructor in order to determine the method of completing all learning outcomes assigned to the course.
If it is not possible to achieve the above-mentioned learning outcomes, the instructor may refuse to grant course credit.
Possible assesment immediately before the exam session for the winter semester.
