Strategic management with elements of organizational sociology 3500-SIS-ZSTR
Do organizations always need to be managed strategically? Is knowledge of management needed in the modern world? For what purpose can it be useful for a citizen of a modern society? The modern world is a world of organizations. They are ubiquitous and can be both a tool of enslavement and liberation. Organizations can be viewed in many different ways and have many different aspects. Depending on what we focus on, we may be able to see this and perhaps also influence some aspects of the organization at the expense of others. The aim of the course is to learn about contemporary ways of understanding organizations, as well as to show how they can be strategically managed and understood creatively.
