Social Thought and Sociological Theory – History and Contemporaneity 3500-SEMMGR-hit-1
The seminar is offered to sociology students interested in social thought in the broadest sense, especially political philosophy, both ancient and modern. The program of meetings depends on the interests of the group and the subject of future master's theses. In the first semester, mainly readings useful to the group as a whole will be discussed, in the second – source texts used in particular master's theses, in the third – excerpts from the theses themselves.
The priority of this seminar is the analysis of the texts themselves, but the study of theories in their role of explaining social reality is also envisaged.
