The Dark Side of the Development of New Digital Technologies in the Era of Revolution 4.0 3500-FAKL-CSRNT
The ongoing technological transformation is revolutionizing virtually all areas of human life, from macro-social phenomena such as the economy and the labor market, through the meso-social dimension of interpersonal relations and contacts with others, to everyday routines and duties, as well as the processes of building identity at the individual level.
This revolution is also associated with many negative consequences, affecting both the entire society and its individual members.
The aim of the classes will be to analyze the main dimensions of the "dark side of the cyberworld", related to, among others, ethical and moral risks resulting from the increasingly widespread use of generative artificial intelligence, as well as ecological and social costs, which are an inevitable consequence of the dissemination of new digital technologies.
During the classes, students will familiarize themselves with theoretical texts discussing the key challenges related to the ongoing digital transformation and will critically analyze the main risks related to the technological revolution of the 4.0 era
