Methodology of Social Sciences with Elements of Philosophy of Science 3402-31MNSE
This aim of this basic course of social science methodology is to present different ways of sociology development: science with positivistic pedigree, and science connected with antipositivisic tradition. "Multiparadigmatic" of sociology reflects in methodological pluralism. Methodology of science is treated like the set of valid rules to study social life, however criteria of this valid rules are not clear. This rules depend on ambiguous answers to philosophical questions: "What the science is?", "What kind of science is sociology?", "What the cognition is?", "What the impartiality is?" etc. In this meaning "methodology" is not the description of sociology research techniques, but the theory of knowledge.
