Self-presentation and Leadership in the Social Dimension 3402-10AIP
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge and develop competencies in effective and conscious leadership. During the classes, students will have the opportunity to become familiar not only with leadership models and types, but also with methods and techniques that support the development of their own leadership skills. In workshop sessions, participants will improve their presentation and public speaking skills, learning to speak with confidence, authenticity, and awareness of their influence.
Throughout the course, students will learn how to recognize and work on their own goals and resources, and how to pursue them in a social context. They will become familiar with various styles and strategies of public speaking, learn how to manage stress, stage fright, and the emotions that accompany speaking in front of others, and develop the ability to craft messages that capture attention and inspire. They will also work on increasing their awareness of the nonverbal aspects of communication and practice responding in difficult situations—for example, when facing criticism, unexpected questions, or a lack of audience engagement.
