Estudante deveria completar o segundo ano dos estudos do primeiro ciclo dentro da Secção Luso-Brasileira do Instituto de Estudos Ibéricos e Iberamericanos. Deveria conhecer a língua no nível que lhe possibiltasse redigir texto de cerca 30 páginas e interessar-se por arte e cultura portuguesa. The student should complete the second year of first cycle studies within the Luso-Brazilian Section of the Institute of Iberian and Iberian-American Studies. He or she should know the language at a level that would allow him or her to write a text of approximately 30 pages and be interested in Portuguese art and culture.

Estudante sabe adequar a metodologia às pesquisas e aos estudos de cultura (EC) (K_W03) que são sobretudo orientados para estudar fenómenos dos polisistemas culturais português e polaco. Sabe como empregar esta metodologia quanto aos requísitos universais dos EC. Conhece as tendências contemporâneas nos EC. Conhece a terminologia geral que se usa no discurso científico (tanto em polaco, como em português), bem como específica da área dos EC (K_W05; K_W08). Sabe como usar os conhecimentos básicos da área dos estudos de literaura, história, geografia, arte e cultura nos EC. Tem conhecimento estruturado quanto às bases do estudo e quanto às ferramentas dos EC usadas por si.

Estudante consegue adequar os conceitos históricos e metodológicos para os EC no âmbito português-polaco. Sabe escolher a metodologia para análise e interpretação cultural de vários fenómenos culturais (filme, literatura, vídeo-jogos, banda desenhada, grafitti, etc.). Sabe a partir da EC construir e modificar as ferramentas de análise que usa no estudo de fenómenos novos. Sabe reinterpretar e sintetizar conceitos teóricos. Sabe por si procurar conceitos necessários ao longo da preparação da tese, implicados pelo tema da pesquisa. Sabe analisar o material de uma forma profunda e argumetar as suas escolhas. Sabe construir o texto como uma análise minuciosa e como uma interpretação do conceito estudado (K_U01, K_U02, K_U03, K_U04, K_U06).

Estudante tem a consciência de que o seu trabalho possibilita compreender melhor o fluxo de ideias entre os polisistemas culturais polaco e português. Sabe definir as prioridades na execução do seu trabalho. Tem o costume de seguir todas as novidades cultrais no mundo da língua portuguesa (K_K01).

The student knows how to adapt the methodology to research and cultural studies (CS) (K_W03) that are mainly oriented towards studying phenomena of the Portuguese and Polish cultural polysystems.Student knows how to apply this methodology in relation to the universal requirements of CS. Student is familiar with contemporary trends in CS. Student knows the general terminology used in scientific discourse (both in Polish and Portuguese), as well as specific terminology in the field of CS (K_W05; K_W08). Student knows how to use basic knowledge of the field of literature, history, geography, art and culture in CS. Student has structured knowledge of the bases of the study and the CS tools you use.

The student can adapt historical and methodological concepts to CS in the Portuguese-Polish context. Student knows how to choose the methodology for the analysis and cultural interpretation of various cultural phenomena (film, literature, video games, comics, graffiti, etc.). Student knows how to build and modify the analysis tools he/she uses in the study of new phenomena based on CS. Student knows how to reinterpret and synthesize theoretical concepts. Student knows how to search for concepts that are necessary for the preparation of the thesis, implied by the research topic. He/she knows how to analyze the material in depth and argue for his/her choices. He/she knows how to construct the text as a detailed analysis and as an interpretation of the concept studied (K_U01, K_U02, K_U03, K_U04, K_U06)..

The student is aware that his/her work enables a better understanding of the flow of ideas between the Polish and Portuguese cultural polysystems. He/she knows how to define priorities in the execution of his/her work. He/she is in the habit of following all cultural developments in the Portuguese-speaking world (K_K01).

Avaliação baseada em: presenças (em caso de faltas superiores a 50%, o aluno terá de realizar trabalhos complementares), assiduiade, apresentação gradual dos efeitos da pesquisa, apresentação final das ideias-chaves da tese. A avaliação completa compreende estes elementos e a nota da tese na sua versão final.

No segundo semestre, as aulas consistem em sessões conjuntas de trabalhos individuais: introdução, trabalho individual, relatório do trabalho realizado.

Assessment based on: attendance (in case of exceeding 50% absence, the student will have to do additional work), assiduity, gradual presentation of the research results, final presentation of the key ideas of the thesis. The complete assessment includes these elements and the grade of the thesis in its final version.

In the second semester, classes consist of joint sessions of individual work: introduction, individual work, report on the work done.
