Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
Student has the well-structured knowledge of the place of Human studies within the system of sciences. He has the well-structured knowledge of the methodology of research on literature. Student gains an enhanced knowledge of Latin American literature. Student is acquainted with the main currents, conventions and subjects in Latin American literature. Student is familiar with the authors of Latin American literature and is able to locate them in the broader cultural context. He has well-structured knowledge of designing, methodology and presentation of scientific research sufficient to prepare his M.A. thesis. (S1K_W01, S1K_W02, S1K_W04, S1K_W 05, S1K_W 06).
Skills:
Student is able to:
-State the theoretical parameters essential in writng M.A. thesis
- State and adapt the proper methodology to the chosen research
- Use the research parameters proper to the chosen subject
- Use the proper technical and stylistical parameters
- Describe the chosen thesis and support it with the proper argumentation
- Analyze the basic issues connected with the chosen subject
- Draw right conclusions from the conducted research and analysis
- Edit the text in accordance with standards of academic style
- Edit the abstract to the scientific article and summary of the master's thesis
- Use advanced digital tools (including corpus analysis programs) for the purposes of research carried out as part of the M.A. thesis preparation (S1K_U01, S1K_U02, S1K_U03, S1K_U05)
Social competence:
Student understands the necessity to learn throughout life. He has social and language competences in communication with the Spanish language communities. He is able to properly define the priorities for the implementation of the task set by themselves and others. Student knows and understands the basic concepts and principles in the field of intellectual property and copyright protection and the need to manage intellectual property resources. (S1K_K01, S1K_K02, S1K_W03)
Assessment criteria
Seminar participants will be assessed on the basis of attendance, participation during the classes, presentation of their research outcome, promptness of the handing in subsequent fragments of the M.A. thesis and the M.A. thesis written within the seminar.
The basis for completing the fourth semester of the seminar will be the submission of the M.A. thesis.
