Recent studies on the history, culture, and religion of Spain II (Nuevas investigaciones sobre la historia, cultura y religión de España II) 3305-NBKH2-1U
This course aims to present the latest research on the history and contemporary culture of Spain in the context of the main trends in contemporary humanities. During the course, we will reflect on new intellectual trends, perspectives, and categories emerging from the work of researchers in various fields of the humanities (cultural anthropology, social sciences, philosophy, history, political science, gender studies) in light of their application to the study of Spanish culture and society in recent years. Particular emphasis will be placed on the latest research, which emerged from its subject matter as a consequence of the changes, problems, and challenges of the contemporary world.

Learning outcomes in terms of knowledge:
After completing the course, the student:
- knows the connections between Hispanic Studies and other fields of humanities and social sciences (K_W02, S1K_W02)
- knows and understands scientific and cultural phenomena in Poland and Spain, and in particular has in-depth knowledge of the connections between new research and trends in the field of study and other humanities discourses (S1K_W04)
- understands and is able to apply in practice the terminology, theory, and methodology of scientific fields and disciplines relevant to Hispanic Studies (K_W05)
- knows the contemporary achievements of research centers and schools, covering selected areas of scientific fields and disciplines relevant to Hispanic Studies (K_W06, S1K_W06)
- knows and understands the subject matter and methodological specificity of the field of study, which they are able to develop creatively and apply in their professional activities, terminology from the field of study at an advanced level (S1K_W01)
works collaboratively in a group, adopting different roles within it (K_K01, S1K_K01)
- resolving dilemmas related to pursuing a future profession (S1K_K02)
Assessment criteria
1. Attendance at classes (two unexcused absences)
2. Presentation of papers on a selected topic (minimum 2)
