French in practice - writing 3304-2D1O-PNJFWP-047
The curriculum is focused on improving writing skills in French including:
a. creation of varied forms of texts, such as argumentative statement, synthèse de textes, review of cultural texts, writing an article or script (podcast);
b. linguistic preparation for editing a thesis;
c. stylistic and lexical exercises.
The classes are dedicated to such issues as:
- general features of speech (communicativeness, clarity and precision of written expression);
- ways of referencing another person's speech, and ways of expressing and justifying value judgments;
- criteria of argumentative coherence (types of arguments, rules of paragraph, text construction);
- characteristics of the various forms of written expression (analysis, exercises, writing own texts);
- language as a tool of written expression (enrichment of morpho-syntactic structures, expansion of vocabulary, improvement of stylistic fluency).

Learning outcomes
The student has learned:
- K_W07 to an in-depth degree the functions of language and the social and cultural aspects of its use in diverse, including atypical communication situations, including intercultural communication (P7S_WK)
- K_W08 in a deeper degree grammatical, orthographic, lexical, semantic, phonological and stylistic issues in French (P7S_WG)
- K_W09 in a deeper degree detailed principles of analysis and interpretation of texts belonging to different functional styles of French (P7S_WG)
- K_U06 present their own views, referring to various sources and complex theoretical approaches, and argue in depth the adopted point of view ( P7S_UW P7S_UK)
Assessment criteria
Passing is based on obtaining at least 60% of the total number of points possible during the semester (according to the rules presented in class by the lecturer).
