Literature Seminar IIz/III z + p : The image of woman in the French novel of the 17th and 18th centuries 3304-1DZXW-KL-34
The aim of the seminar is to explore selected elements from French literature of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The main focus will be on female protagonists in the French novel of the two eras. During the seminar we will discuss, among other things:
the chronological range of the two periods
the most important currents
the development of the novel, including the classification
the issues raised in the selected novel
The analysis of the proposed novels will allow us to trace the changes in the mentality of the French society of the ancien regime era, the changes related to the development of the novel, borrowings or continuations in the creation of literary characters. The reading of the proposed texts also aims to look at contemporary problems or those not too distant.
