French writers in the 17th/18th century 3304-1DZXW-KL-04
The aim of the seminar is to present the work of the most interesting writers of both centuries. The classes consist of a short presentation of each author's character, her role in the history of literature and an analysis of selected works (novels and plays). Alongside famous figures (e.g. Mrs de La Fayette or Mrs de Graffigny), unjustly forgotten writers will appear (e.g. Miss de L'Heritier or Marie-Angélique de Gomez). The classes will allow listeners to enrich their knowledge of both epochs, of their diversity and of the work of women who are considered to be secondary, but in fact read, perfectly reflecting literary tendencies and often precursor ones.
