French in practice – Applied phonetics 3304-1DZ1O-PNFS-036
PNJF-applied phonetics: compulsory classes aimed at improving and improving pronunciation and intonation in accordance with the rules of French pronunciation.
semester course - 2g / week = 30 hours
These classes are compulsory for people who were referred to them after the first week of PNJF classes; students whose pronunciation does not raise any objections may be exempted from classes.
WORK METHOD: the classes are conducted in the form of systematic phonetic exercises using multimedia tools.
THE PROGRAM:
- articulation exercises, pronunciation and intonation based on recordings of phonetic exercises (listening / recognizing, imitating, repeating, recording)
- exercises in reference to the theoretical phonetics course (to transcribe in the phonetic alphabet)
- listening to read texts

Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the course the student has the ability to:
1) the correct pronunciation of all sounds, especially vowels; elizia, liaisons.
2) using the right intonation in the right situation (simple communication situations)
3 / read aloud short texts in a communicative manner specific to French.
Assessment criteria
- Attendance and active participation in classes, two absences allowed (unjustified) in the semester.
