After finishing the classes the student will be able to:
- order all the political regimes of France from the Revolution to the present
- give the basic characteristics of each system, including the most important historical figures
- characterize the basic cultural phenomena of each epoch

Assessment criteria
The final grade (semester credit) consists of the following:
- class attendance. 4 absences are allowed, regardless of whether they are excused or not. In synchronous lectures attendance can also be checked. In case of asynchronous lectures, the attendance is considered watching the video lecture posted on the platform.
- Activity on the e-learning platform - during the semester students will perform a certain number of tasks. The average of these tasks will be a component of the final course grade. Sub-tests may be taken several times within the time limit.
- result from two in-class tests - the first will be a mid-term test covering the material from the first half of the class, the second will be a semester test covering all topics covered from the beginning to the end of the semester. These tests may be taken only on the scheduled dates.
If it is not possible to organize stationary tests (one or both), it is expected to be done remotely.
The final grade will be calculated according to the following proportions:
- result from tasks completed on the platform - 40%
- result from the in-class tests - 60%.
In order to receive a credit in the first term, a minimum of 60% of points is required.
NOTE - in order to receive a pass in the second term, a minimum of 70% of points should be collected.
The form and criteria for passing the course may change depending on the current epidemic situation. Equivalent credit requirements will be established in accordance with the guidelines in force at the University of Warsaw, in consultation with the students.
