Students will develop language skills, within the following topics:
- respect for the environment, sustainable development, zero waste
- pollution, eco-anxiety, climate change, natural disasters
- organic food, vegetarianism, veganism
- ecological solutions, the social and shared economy
- greenwashing
- ecofeminism, eco-influencers

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student knows and understands:
vocabulary of ecology in French at the B2+ level (K_W07);
principles of analysis and interpretation of texts belonging to different functional styles of French (K_W09).
Students are able to:
analyze, interpret and express opinions based on literary texts, newspaper articles and audiovisual documents from Francophone countries on ecology (K_U03);
discuss ecological issues in French at B2+ level, and argue the point of view adopted (K_U04);
work in a group (K_U10).
The student is ready to:
be open-minded towards individual and cultural differences (K_K02);
actively participate in French and Francophone culture, using various forms and media (K_K05).
Assessment criteria
Systematic contribution of the student's own work and active participation in classes is required, as well as positive results of oral and written work carried out during the semester. 2 absences are allowed.
Detailed conditions for completing the course will be presented by the instructor at the first class.
